I learned in my class today that the Old Testament prophets were known for calling out judgment, and for 6,000 years, the Jews were taught to hate people who don’t love God. Then Jesus showed up on the scene and said to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.

When we see another person and give them the elevator stare and see all that’s wrong with them, we should stop ourselves and ask God what He says about them, and say that out loud instead of the junk we see.

When we do that, we are relating the heart of the Father to people, and seeing the good in them. We are made in the image of Christ, to be more Christ like, we have to start to see each other through His designer glasses rather than the dollar store glasses that keeps recycling not calling each other higher!

One thing I loved about my dad’s humor was that he always ended on a high note. You always felt better after leaving his presence. And when you screwed up, you felt corrected but still loved. Psalm 80 is a great Psalm to reflect on the goodness of God! Love yall.

PS I am hosting a Bible study in my room on Thursday nights at 6:00pm because I am in a flare up from my disease and cannot leave my bed at this time.

I will be teaching on the touch of God.
