I pray for a fresh indwelling of the Holy Spirit so that God downloads ways to respond in love, so you can let God fight your battles. When we react in revenge or offense, instead of responding in love, we disempower heaven to defend us. If we take a beat, and respond in love, which looks like self sacrifice sometimes, we ensure that the angels dispatched to help us, fight and win our battles. It was recently taught to me that we exist in both heavens, as well as on earth. The second heaven is where the angels and demons battle, and we are seated in the third heaven with God. But on earth, and in both heavens, it’s like a tri-level chess game happening all at once. When we make a move on earth or seated from heavenly places, each piece moves in succession in all three realms. I don’t completely understand it, and never played chess before, but what I do understand is that we have the upper hand over the enemy, especially when we live out biblical principles as believers submitted to the will of God.
